My new art space

I now have a new art space, a new space to be creative in. I love the set up and can't wait to explore my space and see what I paint next! My mom came for a visit last weekend and helped create it, she bought the cute chair, foot stool and the skinny cool looking table by the window! I love the space but it comes at a cost that I didn't plan on happening in my life. This space is all my own, I'm the only one that lives here in this one bedroom 738 sq ft. house. After 6 years of being in a relationship and living with him, I'm on my own starting over. It's almost been two weeks so things are still very fresh and raw to deal with and adjust too. My creativity has always brought me comfort and allows reflection and healing in the process of being creative. A Painting Adventure with Mom This past weekend, I embarked on a delightful journey into the world of whimsy with none other than my mom. As a seasoned landscape artist accustomed to capturing the essence of reality on canvas, venturing into the realm of whimsical painting was a refreshing change of pace. The experience was liberating. It felt like shedding the constraints of my usual style and allowing creativity to flow freely without the burden of perfectionism. For once, I wasn't obsessing over every brushstroke to recreate nature faithfully. Instead, I embraced the joy of experimentation, letting my imagination guide the way. I work at the best place! I can hand my paintings in a room for all to see here at work. In return starting this summer I will teach a painting class. I am very excited for the opportunity, a little nervous but mostly excited! I have an amazing co-worker/best friend that I also share the wall with and will be teaching painting classes as well.
