A new chapter of artistic exploration
It’s been a while since I’ve shared here on the blog, and as I sit down to write today, I’m reminded of how much my creative journey has evolved. Life, as always, has its twists and turns, and for a while, I’ve been letting myself breathe, reflect, and let go of the pressure to create on demand. But the truth is, creativity never really leaves us—it simply takes different shapes along the way.
Over the past few months, I’ve shifted my focus away from the rush of producing new paintings for sale. Instead, I’ve returned to the heart of why I create: to explore, to express, and to find joy in the process itself. I’ve found myself diving deep into watercolor, mixed media, and art journaling—letting these practices guide me toward new discoveries, and, surprisingly, new kinds of peace.
You might remember that painting was a huge part of my healing journey. There’s something incredibly powerful about translating emotions into color and form on a canvas. But lately, I’ve been less concerned with whether the painting “looks perfect” or if it’s marketable. Instead, it’s about expressing the messy, beautiful process of becoming—whether through a splash of watercolor or a thoughtful journaling prompt.
I’ve also been teaching paint & sip classes, which has brought me so much joy. Guiding others in their own artistic expressions is a reminder of how transformative creativity can be. It’s not just about creating a piece of art—it’s about tapping into the parts of ourselves that need healing, connection, and release.
Through it all, I’ve learned that it’s okay to slow down. It’s okay not to have a set schedule for creating or to have periods of rest. My art—and my life—have their own rhythm. And just like the landscapes I paint, the journey unfolds one brushstroke at a time.
So, I’m inviting you to join me on this next phase of my creative journey. Whether you’re here for inspiration, to connect through art, or simply to share in the beauty of life’s unpredictable path, I’m so grateful to have you along for the ride.
