Before and After

I painted this desert scene awhile back.  I hung it on my wall when I was done.  I wasn't too excited about it when I first finished. I liked it but I just felt like I wasn't done with it yet.  I've left it alone for several week until one day recently I decided I knew what I wanted to do with it.  I wanted to change up the sky.  




I love it now! I love how stormy it looks.  I'm not sure what to call it yet. I had one suggestion of Monsoon and one suggested Desert Sunset.  I like both names, I will decide soon.

That is how it is at times, I paint something and then I'm not sure I'm done with it and let it sit then decide and go from there.

Exploring Whimsy

 A Painting Adventure with Mom This past weekend, I embarked on a delightful journey into the world of whimsy with none other than my mom. As a seasoned landscape artist accustomed to capturing the essence of reality on canvas, venturing into the realm of whimsical painting was a refreshing change of pace. The experience was liberating.
